International Trade Show in Zhejiang Begins Tomorrow with a Pavilion Dedicated to the Best of Italian Wines

Qingtian, November 14, 2024 – The sixth edition of QWine Expo, the international wine trade fair that annually brings Italian wine excellence to Zhejiang province, will open tomorrow, Friday, November 15. For three days, from November 15 to 17, Qingtian will host a selection of top Italian wineries, ready to showcase a vast array of labels to Chinese professionals and enthusiasts, highlighting the richness and diversity of Italy’s wine heritage.

The Italian pavilion, curated and managed by Wine Channel, an Italian company dedicated to wine promotion, communication, and export in China, will provide visitors with a unique experience. In addition to iconic wines, attendees will discover a range of indigenous varieties representing Italy’s biodiversity. This year’s event features more than 90 Italian wineries, with an impressive Italian presence and over 3,500 labels on display.
“The collaboration with QWine Expo is essential for Italy’s growth in the Chinese wine market,” says Valentina Tenaglia, CEO of Wine Channel. “As co-organizers of the Italian pavilion since the first edition, we are proud to represent Italian wineries here in Qingtian, a city becoming a key hub for imported wine in China. This fair not only offers a unique opportunity to promote our wine products but also to build a cultural bridge between Italian producers and Chinese wine professionals. We are confident that this event will further strengthen ties between our two countries and establish Italy and its wines as symbols of quality and passion in China.”

Lin Xia, secretary of the county committee, also expressed appreciation for the progress of QWine Expo, recognizing the event as a platform to promote high-level openness in Qingtian and enhance its image as a trade center. Lin Xia emphasized the goal of establishing QWine Expo as a renowned and internationally recognized event.

Highlights of the 2024 Edition
QWine Expo 2024 is set to be a key event for Italian wine exports to China. This year, the fair has organized five exhibition areas: a main exhibition area, a marketplace, and three special sections dedicated to wines imported from Central and Eastern Europe, lifestyle and fashion, and coffee. The main area features 600 booths, while the marketplace has 1,000. The event has attracted numerous exhibitors: 800 wine companies, 300 coffee importers, 100 lifestyle and fashion businesses, and 500 companies offering other imported goods. For wine lovers, QWine Expo offers a unique opportunity to taste a range of Italian wines from different regions, each with distinctive characteristics. Additionally, the international pavilion will allow attendees to sample wines from countries like France, Spain, Georgia, and Germany.

Masterclass: An Exploration of Italian Wine Excellence from North to South
This year’s fair will also feature a masterclass that, like a virtual journey, will take Chinese professionals on an exploration of Italy’s unique wine regions, led by expert Sabina Yang. This is a valuable learning opportunity, not only to understand the flavor profiles of the wines but also to uncover the stories and traditions behind each bottle, with insights into the characteristics of each grape variety and producer.

Wines for Tasting:
• Perlino, DOC Extra Dry Scanavino
• Simon Di Brazzan, Pinot Grigio Tradizione
• Cozzarolo, Merlot Riserva
• Tenuta Di Sesta (by Gamafood), Brunello di Montalcino
• Terre Molin (by Gamafood), Valpolicella Ripasso
• Tenuta Vitalonga, Elcione
• We are Todini, Rubro
• Rosarubra, Montepulciano d’Abruzzo
• Cantina Risveglio, 72100

Conclusion
QWine Expo 2024 is not only a business event but a genuine cultural bridge between Italy and China, with wine serving as a medium for mutual understanding.

As Qingtian, known as “the hometown of overseas Chinese,” solidifies its role as a reference point for imported wine in China, this sixth edition of QWine Expo promises to offer Chinese audiences a unique wine experience.
