The 2025 edition of Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris has concluded with great success. This flagship event for the wine industry brought together producers, distributors, and professionals from around the world. Held from February 10 to 12 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, the fair continued its rapid growth, recording a significant increase in both exhibitors and professional visitors.

Italy emerged as one of the standout participants, with over 1,000 exhibitors, making it the second most represented country after France. Hall 6, the heart of the Italian presence, hosted consortia, major wineries, regional stands, oenologists, and wine experts, leading many to describe it as a “mini Vinitaly.”

The overall sentiment was extremely positive: the fair not only served as a key gateway to the French market but also offered expansion opportunities toward Southeast Asia and emerging markets. More and more producers view Wine Paris as a strategic platform, increasingly prioritizing it over other industry fairs such as Prowein in Düsseldorf. Additionally, the charm of Paris—with its excellent transport links, diverse accommodations, and world-renowned gastronomy—further enhanced the appeal of the event for industry professionals.
This year’s edition featured over 5,300 exhibitors from more than 50 countries and welcomed more than 50,000 professional visitors from 143 nations, marking significant growth compared to previous years.
Strong Participation from Italian Wine Consortia and Wineries
Italian wine consortia made a strong impact, with double the participation compared to the previous year. Many used the event to outline their future promotional strategies.
Consorzio Tutela Vini d’Abruzzo
Alessandro Nicodemi, President of the Abruzzo Wine Protection Consortium, emphasized the fair’s rapid expansion:
“Over the past two to three years, Wine Paris has grown exponentially, not only in terms of exhibitors but, most importantly, in visitor numbers. We are very pleased about this. Our first major project is to further highlight our Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo, a wine we see as deeply representative of our region. Our technical committee is currently working on a new classification parameter—color intensity, which we plan to include in the production regulations.”Consorzio del Brunello di Montalcino
Carlotta Salvini, the consortium’s communications manager, highlighted the importance of educating visitors about the territorial diversity of Montalcino:
“We recently introduced a new 3D interactive video that allows consumers to explore the unique characteristics of our region. This approach helps buyers discover not only well-known labels but also artisanal productions and lesser-known excellences. I also noticed a strong presence of Asian buyers, which is a promising sign for our future promotional activities.”Consorzio Chianti
Giovanni Busi, President of the Chianti Consortium, stressed the strategic value of the French market:
“France is a crucial market for Chianti, with Paris at the center of our sales. However, our presence at Wine Paris extends beyond France, targeting the international market—especially Asia, where we continue to invest.”
The new director, Saverio Galli Torrini, added:
“My primary goal is to promote the Chianti denomination by engaging a younger audience through more dynamic social media communication, which has become essential for reaching this demographic.”Prosecco DOC Consortium
Giancarlo Guidolin, President of the Prosecco DOC Consortium, shared outstanding results:
“This fair has been incredibly rewarding for all exhibitors. We closed 2024 with a 7% increase in sales, reaching 660 million bottles. France remains a strategic market, with 34 million bottles sold. French consumers appreciate our product for its versatility and pleasantness. We want to continue growing while focusing on an increasingly sustainable production model.”
