Sensory notes

Colour: dark ruby red with purple highlights on the rim, with a beautiful luminosity and a relevant consistency.
Nose: floral scents and red-fleshed fruit, violet, rose, black cherry, blackberry, plum and a delicate spicy hint of black pepper.
Taste: a full flavour, intense but not excessive warmth, tones consistent with the nose, with notes of cocoa and tobacco. It is dry with an excellent overall softness, well balanced by an interesting freshness and energetic but reasonable tannins. The minerality is good, with a long, delicately almondy finish.

Harvest:
Born in a beautiful wine-growing area, at an ideal altitude to ensure an extraordinary temperature range and with a magnificent exposure, from a very old vine grown with a Tendone and Guyot system.

A Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC, obtained from hand picked grapes only harvested in the first half of October, from a certified biodynamic agriculture, which ensures maximum respect for the surrounding environment.

Vinification:
Vinification in thermo-conditioned steel vats, followed by malolactic fermentation and subsequent maturation for 6 months in cement tanks. This is followed by an ageing period of no less than 10 months in large oak casks, before beginning a further 6 months of refinement in the bottle, in the total absence of oxygen.

How to pair our Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Rosarubra wine:
Serve it at 14-16 °C degrees, possibly in a large goblet with a wide rim, and always uncork it a little before serving so that it can open up well and express itself at its best.

Perfect for any occasion, it can be enjoyed alone or in company, better if paired with well-structured and tasty dishes: aperitifs, appetizers, vegetarian dishes, red meats and medium and long aged cheeses.

Imagine a classic platter of cold cuts, fettuccine with meat sauce, quiche with four cheeses, a tagliata with green pepper or a nice semi-matured pecorino from Abruzzo.
